When I arrived to Paris back in August of 2014, I knew I was walking the streets of history. I felt it within me, a crazy sensation to put into words. Standing in Notre-Dame, I wanted to cry at the thought of how much that building had seen.
Paris is a city of lovers… Of lovers with love, of lovers with history, philosophy, architecture… Anything. Paris has lived through everything and holds so many secrets… So many fantômes (ghosts).
When I moved to Paris, I wasn’t only trying to make a new life for myself but I was also running from ghosts from my past I wanted to get rid of. The more I’m here, the more I see that Paris held these ghosts for me so I would confront them.
That, Paris, I have you to thank for.
Merci Paris.
Bisous,
Veronica
