The Gap Year Decision

The Gap Year Decision

Recently, I have been struggling a lot with my decision on moving abroad to Italy. Not Italy per say, not the experiences I have been living, the people I have been meeting nor the life that I am constructing... but exactly that, because I am in the midst of a new life that I am [...]

25 Things To Accomplish or Learn in the Second Half of My Twenties

It's here... I am now officially 25 and this is crazy. A quarter of a century. The last year in France where I can go to museums for free. Considered part of the "young group" when buying tickets (and get those nice student discounts). I need to stop writing because I am starting to freak [...]

17 Things You Might Not Know About Kikalavil

It has been a while since I have been able to actually sit down and write a blog post. This past month has just been crazy in itself, with three consecutive trips and my university gala. I am certainly not complaining. Val de Loire was a beautiful, countryside escape, Milan was my doorway into Italy, [...]

6 Things That 2017 Has Already Taught Me

I have come to the conclusion that there are two things in this world that bring me bad luck: 7's and the month of March. Though anything having to do with these things bring me bad luck, I have promised myself that in 2017 (even though it makes me nervous for having the number 7) [...]

The 12 Realities About Being an Au Pair

So you want to travel. You want to see the world. You want to be wanderlust. You have saved up enough money to buy a plane ticket and a few months abroad... but you know what would be better? Getting paid as you lived abroad. So after much googling, you've decided the path for you is au pairing. [...]

Where do I even begin to explain the good that tango has done for me? To dance with people I don’t know cheek to cheek? From the outside, tango is sensual. On the inside, it’s so respectful. Tango has made me feel free, proud of my body and the movements it can do, it’s made me feel sexy though my body isn’t what I wish it was. Tango has opened worlds inside of me that I didn’t know existed. Maybe one day I’ll be able to perfectly write how it has changed me. Thank you Tango ♥️ Swipe for weekend snaps from Torino This is 27, taking it one aperol spritz at a time 🤌🏼 In wildest dreams I never dreamed of this (V’s version) ♥️ I may no longer be there, but our story will never be over my love 🤍 It’s all about finding one’s self ✈️ Do the shit that scares you. Be courageous. Firenze streets have my heart ♥️ Dancing tango for me is a mix of emotions. It’s representative of my Spanish grandparents, who always told me I should dance something like this and who I would spend hours watching the Spanish version of Dancing With the Stars with. It’s also a form of therapy and healing. “Women come to Italy and fall in love with an Italian. I came to Italy and fell in love with tango,” I told one of my instructors.
