Emily’s Parisian Fantasy: 10 Things Emily in Paris Got Wrong

When Sex and the City ended its series with Carrie Bradshaw in Paris, the city of love, I didn't really expect for Darren Star to try to take on the city again. Don't get me wrong, even though Sex and the City has a lot of issues throughout the series, it was a show I [...]

Au Revoir La Sorbonne… For Now

Parfois, exister dans la liberté est plus douloureux que rester dans le confortable. Sometimes, existing in freedom hurts more than staying in what is comfortable.   I have officially finished my first year of my master's degree at the Sorbonne. These past few years of school have been such a ride that I have decided to [...]

Saturday in the Countryside: Chantilly

One of the things that I absolutely love about living in France is how much there is to see and I feel like I will never be able to see all of it! This weekend I visited Chantilly, a small little town north of Paris (about a 25-minute train ride from Gare du Nord). It [...]

An Ode to My First Year at University

Here I am, on the final stretch of what is my first year at university. First off, the first semester took forever... the second one just flew by. I really don't know where the time went there. I have one last final, May 10th. I don't know how to feel about this first year. It [...]

If We Were Having Coffee (Or Hot Chocolate?)

It's Thursday, yay! If we were having coffee, I would probably have ordered (or made, depending on where we decided to chat) a hot chocolate instead. Lately, I am coffeed out (yes, I know coffeed is not a word but that is what my mother says when she can't stand coffee for a while and needs [...]

Where do I even begin to explain the good that tango has done for me? To dance with people I don’t know cheek to cheek? From the outside, tango is sensual. On the inside, it’s so respectful. Tango has made me feel free, proud of my body and the movements it can do, it’s made me feel sexy though my body isn’t what I wish it was. Tango has opened worlds inside of me that I didn’t know existed. Maybe one day I’ll be able to perfectly write how it has changed me. Thank you Tango ♥️ Swipe for weekend snaps from Torino This is 27, taking it one aperol spritz at a time 🤌🏼 In wildest dreams I never dreamed of this (V’s version) ♥️ I may no longer be there, but our story will never be over my love 🤍 It’s all about finding one’s self ✈️ Do the shit that scares you. Be courageous. Firenze streets have my heart ♥️ Dancing tango for me is a mix of emotions. It’s representative of my Spanish grandparents, who always told me I should dance something like this and who I would spend hours watching the Spanish version of Dancing With the Stars with. It’s also a form of therapy and healing. “Women come to Italy and fall in love with an Italian. I came to Italy and fell in love with tango,” I told one of my instructors.
